Starting today for all new FHA case numbers, the FHA spot approval process for condos goes away. A condo must be FHA approved for FHA financing. If a condo is not on the HUD approved list here: https://entp.hud.gov/idapp/html/condlook.cfm the condo must go through a HUD and/or lender approval process that could take 4-6 weeks. Before submitting a FHA offer on a condo with FHA buyers check the condo's status with HUD.
